Black Leopards have produced the shock of the Absa Cup First Round so far as they beat high-flying Moroka Swallows 3-0 at the Thohoyandou Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The two Premier Soccer League teams are at opposite poles of the top-flight, with Swallows chasing the championship and Leopards fighting against relegation.
But the form book was thrown out the window as Gavin Hunt's Swallows succumbed to his former side.
Mulondo Sikhwivhilu put the home side into the lead in the 11th minute, which was the way it stayed until halftime in what was ultimately a dour first 45 minutes.
Swallows had a number of chances to draw level in the second period but the game was sealed for Leopards when Mamqoba Mkhize put them 2-0 up five minutes from time.
Sikhwivhilu scored his second just before the final whistle to complete the rout.
