SuperSport United came from behind to grab a late equaliser in their Castle Premiership match against Moroka Swallows at the Loftus Stadium on Wednesday night.
The Dube Birds got off to the worst possible start when former Cosmos winger Dikgang Mabalane put Matsatsantsa in the lead as early as the first minute following a pass from Edward Williams.
Swallows certainly had the better of the opening half, with Edzai Kasinayo's trickery and Lungisani Ndlela's height providing the SuperSport side with constant problems.
The visitors got themselves back into the game in the 30th minute, through Dennis Lota, who netted his third Premiership goal of the season when he headed home Mark McVeigh's corner.
Despite playing the entire second half with only 10 men after Zimbabwean defender Bhekithemba Ndlovu was sent off in the 39th minute, the Birds continued their superiority in the second stanza.
In the 79th minute Lungisani Ndlela put the Beautiful Birds back into the lead when he headed home a free-kick from Innocent Chikoya.
However, the home team refused to lie down and fought their way back to equalise through one of their few chances when captain Ricardo Katze scored directly from a free-kick.
The result sees both clubs remain in their current positions on the Castle Premiership table - Swallows are third and United are in 12th spot.
