Mazibuko: We will defend our title!
Moroka Swallows skipper Goodman Mazibuko and his Moroka Swallows team-mates are determined to defend the Absa Cup trophy they won last year.

Although the Birds still stand a chance of challenging for the league title, their main hope of winning silverware this season is now by winning the Absa Cup, and Mazibuko is determined to reward the loyal Swallows supporters with the cup.

The Dube Birds have already beaten Ajax three times this season, but Mazibuko is taking nothing for granted at the Rand Stadium on Saturday.

"Its going to be tough," said 'Dolphin'. "We may have a good record against Ajax, but tomorrow's game will be different. We can't take anything for granted and we will need to concentrate throughout. Saturday's match is a must-win match for us.

"We aim to keep our proud record at the Rand Stadium in tact by coming way with victory," he added.

The Birds captain has been in outstanding form all season, putting in an incredible work rate in every game, and many are calling for his inclusion in the Bafana Bafana squad. Mazibuko, who has four caps to his credit, was however, reluctant to blow his own trumpet.

"This is not something I like to talk about, he said. "Its up to the coach to select me. I believe I can do the job for the team if I am chosen. I have done it before when I played in the Cosafa Cup final and if given the chance again I won't let my country down."
