The Moroka Swallows Ladies' side have swept their opposition aside to win their first tournament. Twelve league teams played in a round-robin event over four days at the KwaThema Sporting Complex.
Swallows beat Gauteng's top team Springs Home Sweepers 10 in a pulsating final.
Nokuthula Shelemde scored the winner via a header in the 65th minute to the delight of the 4 000 spectators. Swallows, sporting their two Banyana Banyana players, featured in five matches in the tournament.
ABSA sponsored the winners with R3000 in prize money, a large floating trophy and winners medals.
Detroit Ladies ended third, with Vosloorus Ladies in fourth.
In addition, team sponsor, TOTAL, have announced that the ladies would receive bursaries towards their education.
