AWOL Pule Angers Bosses 04/05/03
It seems Jabu Pules time at Kaizer Chiefs has finally come to an end after he again went missing.

The sublimely talented, but often troubled, midfielder missed Saturdays 4-0 thrashing of Manning Rangers after failing to show up at training, not for the first time this season.

He was suspended for three months earlier this year but after his latest indiscretion, Amakhozi managing director Kaizer Motaung and hinted that his days as a Glamour Boy could be over.

"We are highly disappointed," he told the clubs official website. "We have done all we could possibly do to help the player get his life together and resurrect his career but all our efforts were in vain.

"Surely by now the supporters also realise that Jabu has not treated them with the kind of respect they deserve despite their support throughout his trying times.

All I can say now is that we will wait for the player to return, but the club will be forced to take even harsher penalties this time."

Pule is no stranger to controversy. He was recently admitted to a rehab centre after confessing to a drink and drug problem, while he is also awaiting trial on the alleged abduction of a minor over the Christmas period.
