Former Orlando Pirates striker Bruce Ramokadi says that he has been in talks with Santos and could be playing his soccer for the Cape-based club next season.
Ramokadi has been battling to secure himself a contract with a Premier Soccer League (PSL) team since he was released by Pirates almost nine months ago.
The 27-year-old striker has had training sessions with Sundowns, Swallows and most recently at Silver Stars, but failed to make the grade at any of these clubs.
But the Soweto-born star has not given up on his hopes of yet again gracing the local stage, and hopes Santos could provide him with a lifeline: "I still believe I have to offer a lot to local football. On Thursday I was engaged in talks with Santos, who have asked me to fax details of what I would like to earn. I hope we agree terms so that I pack my bags and trek to Cape Town where I had enjoyable spell at Cape Town Spurs a few seasons ago." he told Kickoff.com.
Meanwhile Silver Stars have boosted their squad with a number of new signings, including Swallows defender Martin Zwane, Manqoba Mkhize of Golden Arrows as well as former Amajita captain Lynch Pule.
