Manning Rangers are to acquire the services of South African Under-23 and Millwall FC goalkeeper Chad Harpur.
Harpur grew up in Cape Town where he played for amateur side Table View as well as representing Hellenic juniors.
He then moved over to the United Kingdom, where his father is based, and spent time on the books of both Chelsea juniors and Leeds United juniors.
The blonde-haired shot-stopper has represented his country twice at U-23 level, with the most recent appearance coming in Amaglug-glug's Olympic Games qualifier against Kenya, where he impressed all with a very assured performance.
Harpur has spent a lot of his time on the bench at Millwall, and will now be looking to resurrect his career by obtaining regular playing time with the Mighty Maulers.
This could spell out the end for Ranger's current goalkeeper, Abram "Rambo" Khwenenyane, who has represented the senior national team at international level.
Rangers are also interested in signing Kaizer Chiefs' wayward midfielder Patrick "Ace" Mbuthu, who arrived in Durban on Tuesday.
