Moroka Swallows moved up into 3rd position after an impressive 3-0 victory over SuperSport United at the Rand Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
SuperSport were expected to provide a much stiffer test for Swallows, who had Gavin Hunt back at the helm after his coaching course in England, but it was not to be as the home team ran out comfortable winners on the day.
Hunt's side were gifted the opening goal when SuperSport midfielder Molefi Ntsoelengoe put the ball in the back of his own net.
The Bird's other goals came from Peter "Big 6" Rabolele, who scored in the 40th minute, and Edzai Kasinauyo, who put the final nail into Matsatsantsa's coffin with five minutes to go.
The result will provide a big boost for the Birds, who are hoping to secure their first silverware of the season when they face Jomo Cosmos in the SAA Supa 8 final in Durban on Sunday.
For Pitso Mosimane and his boys it will be back to the drawing board as they prepare for their next game, which is the Pretoria derby against Sundowns on Wednesday evening.
