Josephs Wants Maximum Points

Ajax Cape Town goalkeeper Moeneeb Josephs took time off from his busy schedule to speak to www.ajaxct.com about the Urban Warriors' next away game at Gauteng rivals Kaizer Chiefs.

"We're ready for them, as ready as we'll ever be. I just got back from training and I'm going to relax now. We've done our preparations and I'm telling you the three points are ours," an excited Josephs said.

The Mighty Amamkhosi will host Ajax at the Ellis Park Stadium on Sunday in a Castle Premiership game and Josephs is confident they'll retain pole position.

"Yes, we are going for the three points, nothing else. Last year we were fighting for survival but this time around we going for the title. We take each game as it comes and we're not overawed playing against Chiefs. We beat them last time in penalties in the Absa Cup after they had earlier knocked us out of the Coca Cola Cup and got a win over us in the league, but history will not be repeating itself!"

Chiefs drew with Ajax 1-1 in their first round fixture last season, but came to Newlands and routed the Urban Warriors 2-0. Stanton "Stigga" Fredericks scored in both games.

"Stigga is always the danger man for us, I mean he's always performing and somehow scoring against us, this time I can't let that happen."

Josephs is certain of victory and believes this could be the season for Ajax Cape Town who have not lost a game, and have conceded only three goals while scoring seven in the Castle Premiership thus far.

Ajax fly to Joburg tomorrow morning and will be staying at the Kopanong luxury suites, who are one of their sponsors.
