Bafana To Face Mauritius In January 06/10/03
Bafana Bafana have been offered the chance to play their first round Cosafa cup game in January against islanders Mauritius. This fixture has been moved forward from March in order to allow the South African's to use it as a  warm-up before the African Cup of Nations which starts January 24.

If the offer is accepted then South Africa will play in Curepipe on January 10, just two weeks before their opening African Cup of Nations (ACN) match against Benin in Tunisia.

South Africa are in Group D with Nigeria, Benin and Morocco.

Zimbabwe and South Africa are the only two countries from Southern Africa that will take part in the bi-annual African championship tournament.
