Friendlies To Stay Fit 13/10/03
Three Premier Soccer League (PSL) teams played in friendlies on Sunday to maintain their fitness during a time when there are no Castle Premiership games scheduled.

Kaizer Chiefs played Bloemfontein Celtic, a first division outfit and beat them 1-0 at Vodacom Park in Bloemfontein.

Junior Khanye, who recently graduated from the development team, scored the only goal for Chiefs.

John 'Shoes' Moshoeu, Stanton Fredericks, Jabu Pule and David Kannemeyer were not present as they were part of the South African squad that beat Costa Rica 2-1 in Potchefstroom on Saturday.

The Amakhosi did not disappoint their fans though, as the stadium was packed for the festivities around this friendly game and the players displayed their silky skills in a tough contest.

Reigning champions Orlando Pirates played Supersport United in a goalless draw at the Makhulong Stadium in Tembisa on Sunday.

Pirates supporters from Tembisa and Alexandra filled the stadium and were not disappointed by the end to end action.

The Bucs' next game is a Coca Cola Cup fixture against Manning Rangers on October 19 in Durban.
