Banyana Banyana caused one of the major upsets of the All Africa Games by beating Cameroon 3-1 in a semi-final game at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium on Sunday.
The South African women took the lead through Veronica Phewa, who did well to chip the ball over the on-coming Cameroonian keeper.
Phewa then turned provider when she set up Antonia Carelse for the second goal.
Cameroon, who were fast seeing their cup hopes disappear, pushed everyone forward in a desperate attempt to get themselves back into the game and were rewarded when Christiane Mbida reduced the defecit to one.
But any hopes of a comeback by the Cameroonians was soon crushed when Portia Modise restored Banyana's two-goal cushion.
The South African's will now meet Nigeria in the final in Lagos after the Super Falcons beat Mali 3-1 in the other semi-final.
