Birds Aiming To Outfly Leopards 07/11/03
Moroka Swallows will be looking to get back to winning ways, while Black leopards will want to continue the good form they showed against high riding Wits University when the two teams meet in a Castle Premiership clash on Sunday at the Rand Stadium.

Birds coach Gavin Hunt has always stated that the league is his main priority, and after having lost in the final of the Supa 8 competition and having been knocked out of the quarter-finals of the Coca-Cola Cup, the players will surely be very focused on making sure that they keep pace with the front-runners in the PSL.

Swallows' speedy winger Edzai Kasinauyo does not think that the defeat to Pirates will affect the players as they go into the game against Leopards.

"Against Pirates we were not out-classed by them but we made a very silly mistake and they punished us for that. All what we have to do against Leopards is to minimize our mistakes and we will be home and dry," said the Zimbabwean midfielder.

Kasinauyo also thinks that there is nothing wrong with Swallows' form and feels that nothing will stop them from beating the team from Venda.

"We are playing very well at the moment and if we don't make mistakes then Leopards will be dead Leopards."

It also will be interesting to see which side the wife of Swallows coach Gavin Hunt supports in this one.

You see, Mrs Hunt is also the Leopards coach David Byrnes sister. So there will be a lot of sibling rivalry if you could call it that.

At home Swallows are usually a safe bet, but will find life tough against the motivated side from Venda.

Leading scorers:

Swallows: Lucas Sebona 2 (PSL)

Leopards: Mulundo Sikhwivilhu 4 (PSL)

Key players:

Swallows: Peter Petersen - The under-23 defender seems to be improving all the time. A player that reads the game well, and is adept in both attack and defence, Petersen is a key player in the Swallows team.

Leopards: David Solopi - The big defender is not the most talented of players, and has been to nearly all the clubs in the league. He however does have a big heart and will make a difference in defence for Leopards.

Swallows: Gavin Hunt

Leopards: David Byrne
