Sebona Confident Of Victory 10/12/03
Inform Moroka Swallows winger Lucas Sebona is confident the Birds will prove too much for Ajax Cape Town when the two teams clash at Newlands Stadium on Wednesday.

Sebona, fresh from scoring both goals in Swallows 2-0 win over Dynamos last weekend, believes the Soweto-based club will continue their recent dominance over the Urban Warriors.

Last season a Simon Ngobeni goal was enough to earn Swallows the spoils in the corresponding fixture while the return at the Rand Stadium ended 1-1.

We have a good record against Ajax and they dont usually give us to many problems, said Sebona on Tuesday.

However, this does not mean we have no respect for Ajax. They are a very good team and if we are complacent or underestimate them we will be punished.

Swallows coach Gavin Hunt set a full-house of 15 points from five games as the teams target for December. So far they have collected six points following their win over Dynamos and a 2-1 win over Sundowns earlier in the month.

I really do believe we are capable of getting all 15 points, said Sebona.

We have tough games coming up against Hellenic and Jomo Cosmos but we are playing with lots of confidence so I dont see any reason to think we are not capable of winning.

Meanhwhile, Sebona told This Day newspaper that he and Ajax winger Josep Ngake should race eachother to determine once and for all who was the quickest.

I guess what remains then would be for me to race one-on-one against Ngake to see once and for all who is the fastest, which I think will be a good fund-raising event.
