High-flying Wits University host Silver Stars in a Castle Premiership game at the Bidvest Stadium on Friday evening.
For the Students the game represents an opportunity to keep pace with the league front-runners, having slipped to sixth spot recently four points behind leaders Ajax Cape Town.
Rookies Stars will be looking to bounce back from their Coca-Cola Cup final disappointment against Kaizer Chiefs last Saturday but will buoyed by the amount of chances they created against the Amakhosi.
Owen Da Gamas boys will, however, have to show far more composure in front of goal if they are to upset Wits whose water-tight defence has only conceded a single goal in 11 games this season.
The Lions of the North are also in desperate need of points in order to escape the lower reaches of the league table that sees a mere three points separate four teams from the relagtion zone.
Gone are the days when Wits relied soley on the long-ball. In fact under Roger De Sa they have gone on to play some of the most entertaining soccer in the league, scoring a heap of goals.
The Clever Boys will definitely start as favourites although Stars run in the Coca-Cola Cup suggests they are always capable of an upset.
