Orlando Pirates physio John Williams has confirmed that four regulars will not be playing against arch-rivals Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday afternoon.
"Benedict (Vilakzi) got injured in the game against Ajax last Sunday where he hurt his ankle," Williams said.
The midfield playmaker had also scheduled his wedding for the same day and his goalscoring abilities and leadership qualities will be sorely missed.
Daniel "Sailor" Tshabalala would have been the natural replacement for Vilakzi, but he too has been forced out of the reckoning with an injury.
"Sailor is also out as he sustained an injury to his calf muscle and Hleza Mofedi also picked up an injury a while ago against Arrows," said the Buc's physio.
Captain Papi Khomane will also miss the game through suspension.
Williams, who is a former Bosmont Chelsea goalkeeper, also made mention of the fantastic atmosphere at training.
"The rest of the team is fully fit for tomorrow and every player is on a high going into this game."
"Despite the absence of these key players we have a squad who will do the job against Chiefs."
