Zulu Royals will be welcoming log leaders Kaizer Chiefs to Durban for a Castle Premiership game on Wednesday evening scheduled for a 16:00pm kick off at the Absa Stadium.
Royals are having internal problems with coach Walter Rautmann citing a lack of commitment from his players, but despite the negativity the coach says the selected players can match the might of the Amakhosi.
"It's going to be a tough game against the log leaders," the no-nonsense Rautmann told SAsocer365.com
"The mood in the camp is good despite the results we received and the few players who are not passionate about the club."
Chiefs have 26 points from 12 games while Usuthu only have 10. The latter is fighting early relegation warning signs while in contrast the Soweto team is looking for their first league title in 11 years.
"We respect this big team but we are not in awe of them. We know their style, their players, and will be ready to give them a battle for 90 minutes."
The Phefeni Glamour Boys are on a high after winning the Coca Cola Cup for the second time and also beating arch-rivals Orlando Pirates 1-0 on Saturday.
Rautmann has managed one win and this against hapless Hellenic and on Sunday they succumbed to Jomo Cosmos and lost 2-1 after leading 1-0 at the break.
Three former Chiefs players, Lucky Maselesele, Thabiso Malatsi and Gary Goldstone will probably want to show their former employer what they are missing out on when the game starts.
