Ajax Cape Town coach Gordon Igesund has declared himself satisfied with the ways things have gone for the Urban Warriors so far this season.
With team currently challenging strongly for the Castle Premiership in second-place on the log, Igesund said he goes into the Christmas break a satisfied man.
Things are going very well for us and we are playing good football, said Igesund.
This time last year we were staring relegation in the face so the turnaround has been totally amazing.
The multiple championship wining coach said he would be happy with a top four finish at the end of the season but admits to dreaming of the ultimate prize.
There are 13 other teams who would like to be in our position, he said. Me Im only thinking of fourth place but you never know.
My experience is rubbing off on the players and they are responding with good results.
If they continue to work hard and dont get ahead of themselves then I think we are going to take some stopping.
The former Manning rangers, Orlando Pirates and Santos coach also had a message for the clubs fans.
To all the Ajax fans, and to soccer lovers in general, Id like to wish everyone a merry Christmas and prosperous and happy new year.
Id also like too extend my gratitude to everyone who turns up to watch our games. Your support is vital and spurs us on. Thank you.
