SASoccer365 went out to find what some of the PSL captains will be doing for Christmas and New Years. We found out that most of them will be with their families and their loved ones this holiday season...
We caught up with Wits skipper Charles Yohane, who was on his way to Zimbabwe.
"For Christmas I always spend time at home in Zimbabwe, in fact I am driving there right now," he said.
Yohane also said that "Where I come from, as the older brother in the family, I am supposed to buy my family presents and that is what I have done. All my life I have always spend this holiday with family and friends."
"For New Years I will be still in the company of friends and family and I will be hosting a big party for them just to say 'Thank you we made it'."
"And for all the soccer fans - I wish them the best holidays and please be like me - I'm driving to Zimbabwe and I want to see you all again next year - that is why I will never drink and drive and I hope you all don't drink if you are driving," said the Zimbabwean international, who will be joining his national team after the holiday.
Edries Burton, the captain of the People's team, Santos, was busy organizing his holiday.
"I am happy to have this break from football and I am going away with my wife up the West Coast for a couple of days."
Burton also believes that Christmas should be spent with loved ones: "This is one of the days that one shares with his or her loved ones. On Christmas day I will be with my wife and family."
Burton had the following message for fans during the 'silly-season' :"To to all soccer lovers, may you please enjoy your Christmas and New Year holidays. Above all please be responsible, please don't do anything that you will be ashamed of the next day, just do what you will be proud of," said Burton who sounded happy about his holiday up the West Coast.
Cosmos captain Manuel 'Tico Tico' Bucuane will be spending his Christmas with his family members who will be visiting him from Mozambique
"I will be here in Joburg for Christmas because I will be hosting family members from home, but for New Years, I will be in Mozambique. I always spend my New Years holidays in Mozambique - to be honest with you, Joburg is too big for me to be here for holidays like New Year," said the Mozambican international.
He also said that, "To people out there, I wish you a merry Christmas and a happy New Year, and to Ezenkhosi supporters I say don't worry about the team for now, just have a good holiday."
SASoccer365 would also like to take this opportunity to wish all our loyal readers a happy and safe festive season. We will be returning to your screens on Friday the 26th of December.
