Jomo Sono is not interested in doing another ambulance job for Bafana Bafana at the forthcoming African Nations Cup in Tunisia.
Speaking to This Day newspaper on Friday, The Black Prince said: I have far too many interests that require my attention and taking up the position is totally out of the question.
Sono has been linked with the national hotseat following Safas suspension of Bafana Bafana headcoach Shakes Mashaba earlier this week.
The Cosmos owner has in the past twice been called upon to lead the national team on the eve of a major international event, first at the 1998 African Nations Cup and again at the 2002 World Cup.
However, despite Sonos statements speculation that he may step into the breach has been further fuelled by a meeting he held with the de facto head of South African soccer Irvin Khoza last week.
Other coaches linked to the job are Ajax Cape Towns Gordon Igesund and Orlando pirates Augusto Palcios.
Both have said they have received no official approach from Safa.
