Steenberg looking to slay a giant 27/02/04
In a David and Goliath clash at the Athlone Stadium on Friday night Division Two Steenberg United tackle defending champions Santos in the Absa Cup first round.

Minnows Steenberg, who have been in existence for less than six months, will look to their captain David Tango to lead from the front.

In Steenbergs short existence Tango has managed to score 15 goals.

There coach Majiet Dreyer is so confident of a famous victory.

"They are the big boys and expected to walk all over us, but we want them to know we've had a good look at how they play." said Dreyer.

Dreyer wants his players to attack Santos goalkeeper Brenden Wardles goal as early as possible because he thinks that Wardle is the weak link in the People's Team.

Whatever Boebie Solomon's players do on Friday night, they have the experience but it will be complacency that they have to fight against if they are to avoid a famous defeat.
