Every year the Reach-For-A-Dream foundation hosts a camp for approximately 70 children in Simons Town. The kids come from most of the hospitals in the Western Cape and suffer from life-threatening illness such as cancer and leukaemia.
There is an action-packed line up for the children, as well as plenty of rest time, during the three day camp.
On Saturday afternoon, The People's Team, Santos, made a "surprise" visit to the camp.
The children were very excited to meet their local football heroes and were treated to a kick around with the Castle Premiership league challengers.
This fun exercise had to take place indoors though as the cold-and-wet weather prevented the kids, and the players, from enjoying the outdoors.
The captain of Santos, Edries Burton, said they were only too happy to come out and visit and play with the kids.
"As a club we are very big on social responsibility, and if we can uplift the children's outlook on life in any way, then we're happy to help out.
The Reach-For-A-Dream foundation wishes Santos good luck on their road to Absa Cup and league success.
