Thabiso 'Skaapie' Malatsi has still not turned up for practice at Zulu Royals since he disappeared from the Durban club on January 25th.
Chris Mlotshwa, the PRO of Usuthu confirmed this to SASoccer365 on Friday.
"I have been phoning Thabiso a lot and every time he has told me that he is going to return to the club, but he has not kept his word," he said.
Mlotshwa said that Malatsi has asked Royals to send him an air ticket so that he can travel back to Durban from Johannesburg.
"When I said that we were going to book him onto a bus, he refused and he said that he wants to travel by air, not by road. We refused to bow to his demands and so the player has not yet returned."
The PRO also said that he was expecting to meet with the player over the weekend when Royals play Moroka Swallows in Johannesburg.
Malatsi was originally suspended by the club when he did not return on an agreed date after he had asked for some days off to go and visit his family in Johannesburg.
He was reported to have been seen in the company of former Kaizer Chiefs team-mate and long-time friend from Daveyton, Jabu Pule.
Pule has also found himself in hot water recently after disappearing from his team's training on the eve of Chiefs' match against bitter rivals Sundowns, some two weeks ago.
He was due to face an Amakhosi disciplinary committee on Friday at 9am but, according to the club's official website, had failed to pitch by 10am.
The outcome of the DC hearing will be announced on Monday.
