Zwanes suspension reduced 15/03/04
Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Arthur Zwane has had his drug-related ban reduced and should be back in action by August.

Zwane was initially banned for two years after he tested positive for anabolic steroids but following a successful application before a South African Football Association Appeals Board on Sunday afternoon this was cut to six months.

Zwane also had his fine of R50,000 halved with the rest suspended for two years.

Speaking to the clubs official website, www.kaizerchiefs.com, Amakhosi team manager Bobby Motaung said: "Finally, we can all sleep peacefully knowing that sanity has prevailed with this case.

"This is surely good news for the club and the player who has always shown exceeding commitment and discipline. Now we can all rest assured that Arthur will soon be seen in action in his famous no 18 jersey when we launch our campaign for the coming season."

Zwane was in good form before his suspension and his return later in the year will be a big boast for Chiefs coach Ted Dumitru
