The clash between Kaizer Chiefs and Sundowns on Sunday will be a lot closer than their respective log positions suggest, according to suspended AmaKhosi midfielder Arthur Zwane.
Chiefs currently occupy second spot on the Castle Premiership log and are odds on favourite to lift their first title in 12 years, while Sundowns have had an extremely disappointing campaign, the former champions languishing in 10th position.
But such is their bitter rivalry that the clash at the Odi Stadium in Mabopane is far from a foregone conclusion.
We hammered them the last time they will probably be aiming for revenge. Its obviously going to be a tough one but I believe we will be ready for them," Zwane told the Chiefs official website.Zwane said his teammates were ready to get back to winning ways following their top-of-the-table draw against Ajax Cape Town in midweek.
"As far as I concerned it was not a bad result," said Zwane. "The guys tried their best and created good scoring opportunities but unfortunately could not find the back of the net."
Zwane recently had his suspension for testing positive for an anabolic steroid reduced from two years to six months.
A win for the Amakhosi will see them go into first position on the log, provided that Santos do not beat Golden Arrows at the Athlone Stadium on Friday night.
