Malatsi set to play again 22/04/04
Thabiso 'Skapie' Malatsi has returned to Zulu Royals, who have fined the midfielder R2 500 for being absent without official leave for two months.

Malatsi disappeared from the Durban-based club at the end of February and was reportedly seen in the company of Kaizer Chiefs' Jabu Pule, who was also AWOL from his team.

Usuthu's PRO Chris Mlotshwa, told SASoccer365.com that Malatsi was given a light sentence because he had shown remorse about his action.

"We fined him R2 500 of which R1,000 is supposed to be paid immediately and the rest is suspended until the end of the season," said Mlotshwa.

He also said that the player is back at the club where he is training with the team.

"Malatsi is still our player even if he was out of line, we were not going to leave him in the cold, we always try to find out the problems that will be affecting our players," the spokesperson added.

Mlotshwa went on to say that even during the time that Malatsi was on AWOL, they kept in contact with him to find out what how the club could help the player who seemed to be having personal problems.
