The SASoccer365 readers' have called on Ted Dumitru to change his tactics if he wants to lead Chiefs to a league title, while there are also some words of encouragement for the changes being made at Sundowns.
Dumitru needs to change tactics
Minango yo vuliwa nga (gates its opened by) Orlando Pirates FC
After Pirates win against Chiefs recently Chiefs were never be same Chiefs as before.
Well done Matsantsantsa Apitori - your win over Chiefs recently is good for us people of Pitori, including die-hard Sundowns supporters like myself.
To the coach Pitso Mosimane you did fairly well - you picked their strengths and their weakness and you planned accordingly unlike uncle Ted whos game its around Pule alone.
To the coach uncle Ted, you got your alert call from Pirates about your tactics and you ignored them so now 3-0 to Supersport United are you still ignoring, should Zulu Royals give you another?
Whatever the outcome in your game against Zulu Royals dont run away, we still like your mumbling tactics.
How can you claim to be professor of football and fail to implement the right format of your club, are you still going to blame some individual for not giving 100% commitments?
You solution is to change from 4-3-3 to 4-5-1 and convince Bobby to let Pule finish this season since he has unfinished business with Chiefs, how about this?
A Rat Is Smelling Very Bad.
Like I said in a previous e-mail : Mr Dumitru Talk is Very Cheap. Rather take things easy and dont say much. I heard Dumitru say Supersport are going to feel the heat, but things went bad as Chiefs got the 'Tsatsantas Heat'
If Ajax had not lost their 2 Games against Zulu Royals and Arrows, we could be talking No league Title for Chiefs cause AJAX would be leading by a point and 1 game advantage which a guy like Igesund was never going to spoil.
I think Chiefs might still win the league, but soccer is not an obvious game anymore. So careful Dimitru, it might still go other ways.
Chiefs are not playing their best game anymore, they are out of gas and maybe some psychological issues are playing a role as well.
I think they are out of style and need some new / changed tactics. You cant put Standton Fredericks on the bench and Chiefs need a very Good Sharp Striker cause all their strikers are not up to scratch, even the new Collins Mbesuma he is not a good striker.
What is in the name?
Orlando Pirates, Cape town Ajax and many more names leave me confused. Why confused? Because soccer has totally taken another direction, that of business.
So does it matter to call your team by any area or town? May be yes but to me it doesn't. It leaves many supporters confused as to where does the name put them.
Other supporters are not from Orlando, though they are from Soweto. I hope someone is seeing the point I'm trying to put across here.
But what I want to raise is what the President of Sundowns said and done. I'm talking about Patrice Motsepe. Firstly big up to him. The man deserves a lot of praises by buying to team.
My question here - will it help Sundowns win the games when the name changes to Mamelodi Sundowns. A big no. But yes it will get some support from the people of Mamelodi. Again changing playing venue will help those faithful supporters to attend home games with ease.
I'm scared fans are not consistent in terms of going to games. The team loses two to three games. The next coming games they are not there.
I hope it will not be the case with Sundowns. The only fans that you can trust in South African football are Kaizer Chiefs' one and maybe Bloemfontein Celtics'.
I may be blinded by love when it comes to Phunya Sele Sele. But with Chiefs, trust me, those are truly faithful. win or lose, they are behind their team.
I wish Motsepe can find such supporters, not couch potatoes. That man has done a lot for Sundowns in the little time his been there.
I wish he can have good managers too and good advisers. But I trust him, he is a big businessman. He knows what is good and bad for business.
But I personally differ with him in changing the name to Mamelodi Sundowns. may be he is looking for a support from that township or he want the people of the place to identify with the team. Anyway Iminwe Phezulu for Motsepe.
