Pule trains with new club 16/06/04
Former Kaizer Chiefs favourite son Jabu Pule has flown to Austria where he has already started training with his new club, SV Mattersburg.

Pule, who has signed a two year deal, has joined up with his former mentor, Mushin Ertugral, who is the manager at the Austrian side.

The player has signed a lucrative contract and is hoping to use this move to re-establish his career, which has been placed in doubt following his highly publicised problems at Chiefs.

"It's not all about the money, but to develop and establish myself as a player," he told the City Press before his departure.

"After a few weeks the league will kick off and it will be my opportunity to prove myself."

Pule says that he is looking forward to working with Ertugral again as he has a good understanding with the former Amakhosi coach.

"Muhsin understands me - he is not just a coach but a mentor I can rely on".

'Shuffle' is reported to have demanded that he be given the number 11 jersey, because it is a number that Chiefs legends are known to wear, and also because his birthday falls on the 11th. (July 1980).
