Cosafa Cup game ends in chaos 28/06/04
The Cosafa Cup match between Zimbabwe and Swaziland in Mbabane on Sunday ended seven minutes before time after angry Swazi fans pelted their team's bench with cans and rocks.

Police were also called in to protect the Swazi players after the 'fans' attempted to attack them as well.

Zimbabwe, the defending Cosafa Cup champions, were leading 5-0 when the match was called off, with captain Peter Ndlovu, who is rumoured to be on the way to Sundowns, having grabbed a hat-trick.

Ndlovu has been transfer listed by English First Division club Sheffield United and it was reported that Sundowns officials approached him with regards to a move to the Pretoria club.

Moroka Swallows' Edzai Kasinauyo also grabbed a goal for the Warriors in his first appearance in the team for three years, while the fifth goal was an own goal scored by Swazi defender Bongani Masangane.

Swaziland could face a one-year suspension from the Cosafa Cup following Sunday's debacle.

Zimbabwe join Mozambique in the semi-finals - there are still two more quarter-final matches to be played.
