Chiefs kick off title defence 05/08/04
Kaizer Chiefs begin the defence of their Castle Premiership league title with a tough trip to Dynamos at the Giyani Stadium on Saturday 07 August 2004.

The Giyani-based may have just avoided relegation last season but they will still be a tough nut to crack in their own back yard.

Chiefs did the double over Dynamos last season with 1-0 wins in both League encounters. The match will be a home coming for David Mathebula and Simphiwe Mbambo who left Dynamos to join the Amakhosi in the off season.

Key Players:

Dynamos: Tonic Chabalala. The tough tackling defender was one of the few bright stars in the Dynamos outfit last season and will be out to prove his ability against the defending Champions

Chiefs: Tinashe Nengomasha. Last seasons Castle Premiership Player of the Year will be hoping to pick up where he left last season as the countrys best midfielder. He has not had much of a break in the off season due to his international commitments but he will still be raring to go as a move overseas seems likely at the end of the this season.

Dynamos: Anteneh Eshete
Chiefs: Ted Dumitru

League position last season:

Dynamos:  14th
Chiefs: Champions
