The People's Team have strengthened their squad for the new season with a number of new signings, including former Ajax, Sundowns and Swallows striker Carlo Scott.
The striking department has significantly been boosted with the return of two Cape Town born players to the Mother City - Carlo Scott from Moroka Swallows and Jainudeen Lackay from Golden Arrows.
Both are top class strikers who have struggled to settle in recent seasons at their respective clubs, however, on their day they are both lethal in front of goal.
With veteran Mauritian striker Jean-Marc Ithier still banging in the goals, and plenty of support coming from midfielders Tyren Arendse, Zane Kanono and Marawaan Bantam, the People's Team should not find goals hard to come by this season.
Players such as Sebastian Bax, Musa Otieno, Edries Burton and Mxolosi Mchunu will add plenty of steel to the team and it seems as if coach Boebie Solomons may have found just the right mix of players to challenge for title honours.
