Moroka Swallows captain Goodman Mazibuko says that his team are not daunted at the prospect of playing against Kaizer Chiefs in the semi-final of the SAA Supa 8 cup.
The fixture is shaping up to be a crunch clash involving last season's Castle Premiership champions and Coke Cup winners, Kaizer Chiefs, while the Birds are the Absa Cup holders and also reached the final of last season's SAA Supa 8.
"It will be a very tough game, but we know that we can beat any team on the day," said Mazibuko.
The skipper feels that it is the Dube Birds' team spirit that will see them advance to the final.
"If we work as a team we can beat Chiefs," said the former Orlando Pirates and Free State Stars work horse.
Asked whether he is concerned about having to face last season's player of the season, Tenashe Nengomashe, 'Dolphin' replied that he is up for the challenge.
"Chiefs like to play in the middle of the park, but myself and Alfred Phiri have formed a good partnership and we will be ready for them," he said.
The Swallows captain also said that he has confidence that his team's defence will be able to handle the on-form Amakhosi striker Collins Mbesuma.
For now though, Mazibuko says that the team are strongly focussed on their next task ahead - Sunday's big PSL clash against Sundowns.
