With South Africa winning the right to host the 2010 world Cup, PSL soccer has come under the spotlight. One of the areas of the professional game identified as needing improvement is increasing fans attendance at games.

Telefunken is proudly supporting Ajax Cape Town by sponsoring fantastic prizes such as TV's, DVD players and Surround Sound Systems to be given away at half-time for all Ajax Cape Town's home league games.

PRO Shooz Mekuto: "The Telefunken sponsorship is a fantastic boost for Cape Town soccer fans, now all fans can stand a chance of winning incredible prizes by coming to the game and buying a ticket (and keeping their ticket stub) for the half-time competition."

Telefunken will not only be helping incentivise the fans to attend games, but also the players to perform at their best by sponsoring the Ajax Cape Town player of the month award.

Melvyn Gordon (Western Cape Regional Manager for Nu-World Industries, who supply Telefunken in South Africa): "We are very excited about our sponsorship with Ajax Cape Town, it is the first time we have entered into soccer sponsorship and have been very impressed with their infrastructure and professionalism. We hope that by supporting Ajax Cape Town in their incentive schemes we can do our little bit to lay the foundation for a successful 2010."

To all fans attending home league matches - please remember the half-time competition only applies to supporters who have purchased tickets. Supporters with Complimentary tickets are not eligible for the competition, as the complimentary tickets will not have any lucky draw numbers on them.

Also remember to hold onto your ticket stub, as your lucky draw competition number is printed on the stub.
