Sono keen on League title 30/08/04
Jomo Sono believes his Cosmos side can launch a successful challenge for the Castle Premiership title, following a successful campaign in the Prince Al-Hilal Cup in Saudi Arabia.

The Ezenkosi recently returned from a stint in the Middle East, where they competed in the Prince Al-Hilal Cup in Saudi Arabia.

The Castle Premier Soccer League (PSL) side were eliminated in the semi-finals of the 10-team competition.

"It was a nice spirit, that's what we gained there and the experience of playing against top teams, and the self-confidence that if we can play away from home and play like this, I think at home we can beat everyone - that's the belief they have now," Sono was quoted by the SABC website.

"We have said we want two trophies, we won two back to back - the Coca Cola and the SAA, so we are going to try to challenge for the championship and I think we have enough depth to challenge for the league."
