Moroka Swallows returned to winning ways when they beat visiting Dynamos 1-0 in a Castle Premiership match played at the Rand Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The first half was a fair exchange between the two teams as none had an upper hand and there were no goals.
The sizeable crowd was mixed between the Birds and Kaizer Chiefs supporters, who had come to watch Swallows whom they are playing against in a week's time in the SAA Supa 8.
In the 43rd minute the visitors wasted a chance to score when Sandile Ndlovu drew Swallows goal keeper Greg Etafia off his line, dribbled past him and layed off to Mpho Maleka who some how managed to shoot wide of the unguarded goal.
There were no goals in the opening half of this encounter.
After the break, it took two minutes for the Beautiful Birds to find the back of the net when Shaun Permall put his name on the score sheet for the first time this season with a cracking shot after getting a defence splitting pass from the in-form Alfred Phiri.
The introduction of Mark McVeigh saw the Birds step up their play as they began to dominate the game, however, they were not able to add to their goal tally, but did enough to secure the all-important three points.
Swallows are now fourth on the table with seven points from four games.
