Moroka Swallows beat Manning Rangers 2-1 in a Castle Premiership match played at the Chatsworth Stadium in Durban on Wednesday night.
The match started at a frenetic pace with both teams trying to open the score sheet first and Dennis Lota put Moroka Swallows ahead with a header in the 26th minute after a corner kick taken by Mark McVeigh.
The Mighty Maulers leveled the scores in the last minute of the first half when Linos Chalwe scored from close range after Swallows keeper Conrad Hendricks fumbled Thabiso Hlalele's shot and Chalwe punished the Dube Birds.
In the second half, Rangers were denied a number of scoring chances by the superb reflex of Hendricks who was in goals for the Birds.
When most people had resigned to the fact that they were no more goals which were going to be scored in this encounter, the Birds strike in the 90th minute when Gray McNab's powerful free kick hit the upright post and Samuel Ngobane scored the winner from the rebound.
