Mokoena calls for fighting spirit 08/10/04
Bafana Bafana skipper Aaron Mokoena is quietly confident ahead of Sunday's World and African Cup qualifying game against Uganda on Sunday.

The Belgium-based defender is not to concerned about playing away in Africa, although he insists that Bafana Bafana will have 'to be brave' if they are to return from Kampala with three points in the bag.

"We survived the DRC. As for the pitch, it will be the same for them - it is 11 against 11. We must adapt," he said.

Mokoena says that the team spirit in the Bafana Bafana camp is increasing all the time and he hopes that this, together with a never-say-die attitude, will see his team through against Uganda on Sunday.

'Mbazo' will need to be at his best in defense, especially taking into account that his regular partner, Mbulelo Mabizela is suspended for the game, while Bradley Carnell and Neil Winstanley are both unavailable due to injury.
