Birds Face Celtic Challenge 21/10/04
Bloemfontein Celtic host the Soweto giants Moroka Swallows in a Coca-Cola Cup match at the Seisa Ramabodu Stadium, Botshabelo in Bloemfontein.

Phunye Sele Sele have home ground advantage and will hope to utilise it efficiently and book a ticket into the quarter finals.

The team from the Free State always enjoy huge support from their loyal followers and on Saturday they will be out to help their team upset the Mighty Birds.

The team has, however, been struggling in the league, winning only one of their last five games, while the Dube Birds have won four and drawn one of their last five encounters.

However, Swallows coach Gavin Hunt is confident they will beat Celtic, although he is concerned at the fact that his team has not played a competitive game for a few weeks now.

"The fact that we have not played a competitive game for a while now is worrying. We will have to concentrate throughout the game if we are to triumph against Celtic," he said.

The game will mark a return to Celtic for one of their former favourites, Cecil Oerson, who made the move to Swallows at the beginning of the season after top scoring for the Free State team last season with 13 goals in the Inland First Division.

The two clubs will also meet again next Sunday in a PSL fixture, also scheduled for Bloemfontein.

Key Players:

Bloemfontein Celtic: Lehlohonolo Seema. Lehlohonolo Seema is a loyal player who has stuck with Celtic through thick and thin. He is a versatile player who can man any position on the field but will be best used marshalling the Celtic defence. A real rock at the back he will have his work cut out,

Moroka Swallows: Goodman Mazibuko. Mazibuko has always been a pillar of strength for the Soweto based side. Moroka Swallows will need a exceptional performance from him to make the most of their game against Celtic.

Coaches:

Bloemfontein Celtic: Aiki Ayiomamitis

Moroka Swallows: Gavin Hunt
