Absa Cup prelims kick off soon 07/12/04
The Coca Cola Cup may still be underway, but already fans can start looking forward to this season's exciting Absa Cup action.

The Absa Cup is similar to England's famous FA Cup, which gives teams from the lower ranks a chance to compete with the top professional clubs, helping to achieve some player's dreams of either being signed up by a PSL club, or at least playing against some of the stars they may have idolised.

While Silver Stars were still playing in the Inland First Division, they achieved 'the impossible' by beating Orlando Pirates and have since gone on to establish themselves as a more than capable team in the Castle Premiership.

Moroka Swallows are the current champions after they beat Manning Rangers in last season's final.

This season's preliminaries kick off in January and are as follows:

Wednesday, December 15
