Kaizer Chiefs and Ajax Cape Town have been handed relatively easy draws for their first round African Champions League campaigns.
The Amakhosi, who return to Champion's League for the first time in 12 seasons, kick off their quest for glory against AS Port Louis of Mauritius on January 29 or 30, with the return fixture scheduled for two weeks later.
The Urban Warriors, who finished runners up to Chiefs last season, start their first ever African Champion's League campaign against minnows Mhlambanyatsi Rovers of Swaziland, in Cape Town, at the end of January.
Ajax will expect to advance to the next round at the expenses of the Swazi club, and will then face either TP Mazembe of the Democratic Republic of Congo or ASFA Yennega of Burkina Faso in the second round in March.
Chiefs will also be confident of beating Port Louis, and their next quest after that will be against either the champions of Madagascar, who are still to be decided, or Seychelles club La Passe.
Meanwhile, in the Confederation Cup (CAF Cup), SuperSport United have a bye in the first round and will then take on either Red Star of the Seychelles or Savanne SC of Mauritius in the second round in March.
Matsatsantsa will be South Africa's only representative in the CAF Cup following Moroka Swallows' withdrawal from the competition earlier this week.
