Wits University and Manning Rangers shared the spoils in a Castle Premiership match played at the Bidvest Stadium on Wednesday night.
The Clever Boys took the lead in the 13th minute when Elasto Kapowezha scored with a header following a cross from the left by Alois Bunjira.
Three minutes later Rangers striker Linos Chalwe missed a golden opportunity to equalise when he failed to connect with a low cross from Alton Meiring.
In the 28th minute Stuart Murisa nearly doubled Wits' advantage when he spotted Rangers keeper Chad Harpur off his line and chipped the ball goalwards, however he was unfortunate to see his effort hit the crossbar.
In the 72nd minute the Chatsworth side earned a corner when home keeper Wayne Roberts pulled off a good save from a well struck Thabiso Hlale shot.
From the resultant corner the visitors scored the equaliser when Teboho Tsiu scored with a shot from inside the box.
In the final minute of play Bunjira wasted a chance to earn his side maximum points when he ballooned his shot over the bar.
