General Manager of Manning Rangers Manqoba Shangase has confirmed that Simon Ngomane has resigned as coach of the Mighty Maulers.
Ngomane is the latest coach - Steve Khompela, Roy Baretto, Bruce Grobbelaar, Ian Palmer and Clive Barker are all on the list - to resign at the Durban-based outfit over the past 12 months.
"Yes the coach has resigned. He has decided to leave the club peacefully," Ngomane told Kickoff.
Rangers have not enjoyed much success since Ngomane, who also had a spell with local rivals Golden Arrows earlier in the season, arrived at the Chatsworth Stadium seven games ago.
The club have won just one game, while losing five. The other match was drawn, which leaves Rangers perilously close to the relegation zone in 13th position.
Former Rangers stalwart and Bafana Bafana defender Frankie Schoeman will take charge of the team in the interim. Schoeman will be assisted by former Sundowns and Chiefs star Bricks Mudau.
