Delron Buckley has been linked to numerous clubs in the last few months, but it seems now as if he is headed the way of Borussia Dortmund.
Borussia sporting director Michael Zorc claims that the deal is nearly finalised and is confident that the Durban-born player will fit into his side's plans.
"Buckley is a fast wide-man and suits our 4-3-3 system perfectly," said Zorc. "He has the ability to deliver pinpoint passes to the centre forward."
The Bafana Bafana international has been on fire in the Bundesliga, netting 15 times for unfashionable Arminia Bielefeld, although he has failed to reproduce this form when donning a South African national team jersey.
His club form has attracted interest from clubs in Spain and England, but it now looks as if he may remain in Germany with Dortmund, who are currently in eighth place on the league table.
They are however, seen as one of the Giants of German football, having won the Champion's League in 1997.
At present Buckley is out of action as he is serving a six-match suspension for confronting referee Markus Merk and will miss the rest of the season.
