Coach's Column: Gavin Hunt Speaks! 01/04/03
Swallows coach Gavin Hunt has a personal message for fans as the Beautiful Birds head into the final six games of the PSL season.

A big "hello" to all you supporters!

It certainly is not easy to talk to you after our exit from the Absa Cup. I really thought we could do well in this competition, especially due to our not so good performances in the other Cup games this season. Even though the players have done very well this season in the league, they let themselves down in Thohoyandou against Black Leopards.

Our main focus now is on finishing as high as we can in the league. We have six tough games to go, but if we give 100% and keep composed, who knows were we can finish? We have shown that, on our day, we can beat anyone, and with the mix of players that we have, we certainly have the capability of finishing very high up on the table.

It is very important to become consistent and durable year after year. In the last two seasons, Moroka Swallows FC have shown great form and have become a very consistent team with a sound administration and stable management.

We have become a team that should always be challenging for top honours and are already making plans to boost a squad for next season. We are looking for players in various positions and are confident that we will have a very competitive team for next season.

I would just like to thank all you fans for your dedicated support and commitment to the club. So lets all get behind the team and give the guys unconditional support for the next six games!
