Ndlovu The Hero For Zim 21/04/03
Moroka Swallows striker Adam Ndlovu was the hero for Zimbabwe on Sunday when his goal saw the 2000 champions progress to the quarter-finals of the Cosafa Cup after a 1-0 win over Angola in Harare.

The 32-year-old, playing up front in place of brother Peter, who failed to get clearance from English club Sheffield United to play the match, scored the solitary goal in the 20th minute after being put through by Chipo Tsodzo.

The result meant a last eight match-up against defending champions South Africa at a venue yet to be decided.

It was a tough game for Zimbabwe who, on the balance of play, were perhaps fortunate to get away with the win.

But a combination of the Angolans prolificacy in front of goal and some great keeping by Energy Murambadoro turned out to be the key to the home sides win.
