Moroka Swallows moved into second spot on the PSL table as they trounced Dynamos 5-3 in a high scoring encounter played at The Rand Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The opening period was very tight with the sides going into the break all square at 1-1.
Dynamos had opened the scoring early Josam Ndou found the back of the title-contenders net in just the ninth minute.
The score remained this way until seconds before the break when Lucas Sebona struck for Swallows as the Dynamos defence were caught napping.
The second half was a different story as goals rained down. Artur Comboio gave The Birds the lead 14 minutes after the restart, but it was a fracas in the middle of the field three minutes later that was to change the complexion of the game decisively.
Peter Petersen and the man who had earlier opened the scoring, Ndou, were involved in an unnecessary tussle that saw them both red-carded.
With just twenty players on the field things opened up and the action swung from end-to-end. Adam Ndlovu added to the Swallows lead in the 76th minute before Joel Seroba bagged his eighth of the season for Dynamos just one minute later.
The frenzied action continued and as the players flagged defensively towards the end of the game more goals flooded in.
Matters were close at 3-2 with just a minute to play but that was before the final flurry saw goals from Edzai Kasinauyo and Samuel Ngobeni take the game away from Dynamos once and for all.
Even at 5-2 matters werent over as George Ramphela reduced the deficit to two seconds before the referee brought a pulsating afternoons entertainment to an end.
