There is mixed news for Moroka Swallows boss Gavin Hunt following his side's 1-1 draw with Santos in the Premier Soccer League at Athlone in Cape Town on Saturday.
The result almost certainly puts Swallows out of the title race, but they do still have it all to play for in the remaining three matches of the season with the second-placed side in the top-flight now eligible for the African Champions League next season.
The Beautiful Birds next match is against Jomo Cosmos on May 14, where Hunt will be sweating on the fitness of midfielders Jabu Mendu and Peter Rabolele, who picked up knocks against the PSL champions.
"We are waiting for them to be assessed tomorrow, but they should be fine for our next game against Cosmos," team manager Bennet Mtshali told Morokaswallows.co.za.
One player who definitely will be in contention for a place in the game against Cosmos is Peter Peterson, who returns from suspension following his sending-off against Dynamos last month.
Peterson will come back into a depleted defence, which has struggled in recent weeks following the loss of Warren Lewis to a long-term ankle injury.
