Moroka Swallows' supporters will be delighted with the news that midfielder Samuel Ngobeni has extended his contract with the Beautiful Birds as Gavin Hunt's side look to build on last season's fourth-place finish.
Ngobeni was in good form last in the last campaign, when he scored six goals in 23 Premier Soccer League games.
Ngobeni will be looking to establish a permanent place for himself in the Swallows team after the departure of Jabu Mendu. He will, however, face stiff competition from newcomer Albert Kometsi as well as existing players like Peter Rabolele.
According to coach Hunt, Ngobeni is a versatile player who will be a very valuable squad member next season:
"He is a good left-footed player who can play wide or through the middle," Hunt told Morokaswallows.co.za. "He is great going forward and will definitely add to our attacking options.
"We are delighted he has signed a contract extension. He did very well for us last year, particularly in the beginning part of the season when he got amongst the goals."
Meanwhile, Swallows are yet still to agree on new contracts for Abram Isaks, Peter Petersen, Lucas Sebona and Peter Rabolele.
