The draw for the brand new South African Airways Super Eight competition has been made at Caesars Palace in Johannesburg today.

The lucrative competition, which replaces the old BP Top Eight, begins with the quarterfinals on August ninth, as Premier Soccer League champions Orlando Pirates travel to Jomo Cosmos.

Defending Top Eight champions Kaizer Chiefs also have a tricky away trip to Wits University a day later, while the following weekend sees Golden Arrows host Moroka Swallows and SuperSport United entertain Dynamos.

The winner of the knockout competition takes home a grand prize of R1.2million, with the runners-up collecting R700,000.

The SAA Super Eight draw is:
August 9 Jomo Cosmos vs. Orlando Pirates
August 10 Wits University vs. Kaizer Chiefs
August 16 Golden Arrows vs. Moroka Swallows
August 17 Supersport United vs. Dynamos
