Moroka Swallows have signed Shaun Permall from Kaizer Chiefs. The exciting striker has just signed a contract that will keep him at the club until 2005, with an option to extend the period until 2006.
The deal has been in the pipeline for the last week or so, but was delayed until yesterday, when Permall and his agent, Mickey Paiva, finally agreed to terms with Swallows.
Permall, who was a product of the Ajax Cape Town youth system, rose to prominence after scoring a 90th minute goal in the 2000 BP Top 8 against Orlando Pirates.
He then secured himself a move to glamour club Kaizer Chiefs, where unfortunately things did not go well as injuries took their toll.
The 21 year-old player will now be hoping to get his career back on track as he joins an ambitious Swallows team who are determined to win some trophies this season.
With Swallows having also recently have acquired the services of prolific marksman Keryn Jordan from Manning Rangers, as well as having proven goal scorers such as Mark Batchelor and Lucas Sebona in the team, the Bird's fans can expect plenty goals this season.
